A bad begining of 2013 in Odisha Postal Circle

Com. Subhransu Panigrahi, BE, Sambalpur Division expired on 02.01.2013

The staff members of Odisha Postal Circle are shocked to witness two consecutive death incidents occurred here in Bhubaneswar on 01.01.2013 and 02.01.2013. Com Basant Kumar Kar, Deputy Postmaster, Angul H O under Dhenkanal Division who was under treatment in a private Hospital in Bhubaneswar for cancer expired on 01.01.2013. As per information gathered from the Divisional Secretary, Com. Kar was a bonafide member of AIPEU, Group-C and loved by one and all in Dhenkanal Division.

Most unfortunately, the second death incident happened today with the passing away of Com. Subhransu Panigrahi, BE and Asst. Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Sambalpur Division. Com. Panigrahi who was suffering from pancreatic infections and was under treatment in Neelachal Hospital, Bhubaneswar since 27.12.2012 breathed his last at about 03.20AM today in the morning due to multi-organ failure. Com. B. Samal, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Gr.-C, Bhubaneswar Division and his team members were attending him regularly since he was admitted to Neelachal Hospital. Late Com. Panigrahi was a very active, helpful and pleasant personality not only for Sambalpur Division but for the entire postal fraternity.
There was one minute silent prayer by the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle, other officers of Circle Office and NFPE union members who had attended today’s four-monthly Meeting with the Chief PMG in the Conference Hall of C O including Com. R C Mishra, CS, P-III and Com. B Samal, DS, P-III, Bhubaneswar Division. The dead body was handed over to his family members at about 16.30 hours after their arrival from Sambalpur. Com. B Samal, Divisional Secretary, Com. Anil Kumar Mohanty, Vice-President, Com. Dipti Ranjan Mohanty, Asst. Secretary, Com. Lingaraj Sahoo, Treasurer, Com. Pramod Ku. Sahoo, Member, Com. Taranisen Bhusagar, Member AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division and Com. R. C Mishra, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Odisha Circle were all attended and paid the last homage.

While the members of AIPEU, Group-C, Keonjhar Division convey their heartfelt condolence, pray Lord Jagannath and Maa Tarini to give courage to the bereaved family members of Com. Kar and Com. Panigrahi to bear with the irreparable loss.

Let the departed souls rest in eternal peace.
